The VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH (VDI TZ GmbH) is the project management agency for the “Research at Universities of Applied Sciences” programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

As project management agency we are the contact point for all questions concerning the funding of research and development projects. We also support the BMBF in developing and monitoring research programmes.

In the “Research at Universities of Applied Sciences” programme we supervise the resulting research projects. We are responsible for assessing, tracking, steering, reviewing, evaluating and monitoring the success of the projects. On behalf of the BMBF, we organize the technical and administrative support of prospective and current applicants in all phases of the funding process and provide free advice on all questions regarding funding and application.
